Trainerize alternatives

ABC Trainerize, TrueCoach and Everfit, compared on what their own pricing pages publish — plan limits, free tiers, add-ons, and what each costs at four common roster sizes.

liftandpace.com is free and sells nothing. The prices below are what each app charges coaches, not what this site charges you.

This page compares published prices and plan terms, nothing else. There are no scores, no ratings and no verdicts dressed up as findings — just what each vendor lists, set side by side so the differences are visible. Where a figure is not published, the table says so rather than filling the gap.

Prices checked 22 October 2026, USD. Read from each vendor's own pricing page: trainerize.com/pricing, truecoach.co/pricing, everfit.io/pricing. Software pricing changes without notice — check the vendor before you buy.

Trainerize Pro is sold in client tiers — $25 for 5, $50 for 15, $79 for 30, $135 for 50, $180 for 75, $225 for 100 and $250 for 200 — with annual billing saving 10%. Studio Plus is priced per location. TrueCoach publishes no free plan but offers a 14-day trial with no card required, and prices above 50 active clients by email. Everfit publishes annual prices as well: Pro from $16 a month and Studio from $88 a month, billed annually.

Cost at four roster sizes

Cheapest qualifying plan
RosterTrainerizeTrueCoachEverfit
5 clients $25 — Pro, 5-client tier $29.98 — Starter Free — Starter covers 5
15 clients $50 — Pro, 15-client tier $69.98 — Standard, up to 20 $49 — no 15-client tier is published, so the 20-client Pro tier is the cheapest that covers it
20 clients $79 — no 20-client tier, so the 30-client Pro tier is the cheapest that covers it $69.98 — Standard, up to 20 $49 — Pro, 20-client tier
50 clients $135 — Pro, 50-client tier $164.98 — Pro, up to 50 $105 — Studio, 50-client tier

Monthly billing, before add-ons, taking the cheapest plan from each vendor that covers the roster. Where a vendor publishes no tier at exactly that size, the next tier up is used and the cell says so. Everfit's 20-client Pro tier was read from its pricing page on 22 October 2026; the other Everfit figures come from the same page's headline plan prices. TrueCoach's ceiling is 50 active clients, above which it quotes by email, so it has no comparable figure past this table. Annual billing lowers the figure for all three.

What each plan structure suits

These are observations about the published terms, not a ranking. Nothing here has been tested, and the right answer depends on a roster size and a feature list only you know.

Starting without paying. Everfit's free Starter tier carries up to 5 clients; Trainerize's free Basic tier carries 1. A coach taking on their first handful of clients can run on Everfit without a card at all, where Trainerize's free tier only really covers a single person. TrueCoach has no free plan, only the 14-day trial.

A roster around 20. This is where the three diverge most. Everfit publishes a 20-client Pro tier at $49, TrueCoach's Standard covers up to 20 at $69.98, and Trainerize jumps from its 15-client tier straight to 30, so a coach with 20 pays the 30-client price of $79. If your roster sits just above a Trainerize tier boundary, you are paying for headroom you are not using.

Payments. On TrueCoach, automated Stripe payments are free and included on every plan. Trainerize charges $10 a month for Stripe Integrated Payments, included on Studio. Everfit charges $9 a month for Payments and Packages. On a 5-client roster an add-on at that price is a substantial fraction of the base cost, so the headline comparison can invert once you add it.

Add-ons generally. Trainerize and Everfit both unbundle. Trainerize lists Business at $25 a month, Advanced Nutrition Coaching at $20 or $45 depending on tier, Video Coaching at $10, and a Custom Branded App at $169 one-time on Pro, with Studio including them. Everfit lists Autoflow automation from $29 a month, On-Demand Collections at $25 and included on Studio, and Meal Plans and Recipe Books at $39. TrueCoach instead moves features between plans: its Standard tier is where the custom-branded app, wearables integration and advanced habit and nutrition tracking appear, and Zapier automations arrive on Pro. Which approach is cheaper depends entirely on which features you actually want.

Growing past 50. TrueCoach's published tiers stop at 50 active clients and move to custom pricing by email. Trainerize publishes tiers to 200 on Pro and a 500+ Studio Plus plan at $275 a month per location. Everfit publishes Studio from 50 and an Enterprise plan for 500+ by contact. If you expect to grow past 50 and want a price you can read before you call anyone, that is a real difference.

What a price table cannot tell you

Everything above is what the vendors publish. None of it says how the apps feel to use every day, how quickly support replies, how the client-facing app is received, or whether exporting your data is painless when you leave. Those are the things that decide whether coaching software is worth its monthly fee, and a pricing page does not contain them.

Two practical checks before committing. Confirm how each vendor counts a client: TrueCoach states its limits in active clients, and the others state client counts per tier, so a roster with seasonal or paused clients can land differently on each. And confirm what happens to your programs and client history if you cancel, because that is the cost of changing your mind later.

This page lists published prices and plan terms gathered from each vendor's pricing page on 22 October 2026, in US dollars. It is not a review, not an endorsement, and not based on using any of these products. No ratings or scores are given because none have been measured. Prices, client limits and feature allocations change without notice, and regional pricing or taxes may differ from the figures shown. Check the vendor's own page before you buy.

Common questions

Which coaching platform has a free plan?

Two of the three. Everfit's Starter plan is free forever for up to 5 clients. ABC Trainerize's Basic plan is free for 1 client. TrueCoach publishes no free plan, only a 14-day free trial that does not ask for a card. If starting without paying matters, the gap between 5 free clients and 1 free client is the thing to weigh.

What does each platform cost for 20 clients?

On published monthly prices: Everfit's Pro tier for 20 clients is $49, TrueCoach's Standard plan covers up to 20 for $69.98, and Trainerize has no 20-client tier so the next one up is Pro at 30 clients for $79. Billing annually lowers all three. Add-ons are extra on both Trainerize and Everfit.

Are payments included or an add-on?

It differs, and it is easy to miss when comparing headline prices. TrueCoach lists free automated payments through Stripe on every plan. Trainerize lists Stripe Integrated Payments as a $10 per month add-on, included on Studio. Everfit lists Payments and Packages as a $9 per month add-on. On a small roster that gap is a noticeable share of the bill.

Do the client limits count every client or only active ones?

TrueCoach states its limits in active clients. Trainerize and Everfit state client counts per plan tier. Because the wording differs between vendors, check how each one defines and counts a client against your own roster before committing — particularly if you carry people who train seasonally or pause for months at a time.

How current are these prices?

Every figure here was read from the vendor's own pricing page on 22 October 2026 and is in US dollars. Software pricing changes without notice, plans get renamed and add-ons move in and out of tiers, so treat this as a snapshot and check the vendor's page before you buy.
