About

liftandpace.com is a small set of calculators for lifters and runners. Each one runs entirely in your browser — enter numbers, get a result, with the formula shown on the same page rather than hidden behind it.

The 1RM Calculator uses two long-standing published methods for estimating a one-rep max from a submaximal set: Epley's formula and Brzycki's formula. Both are standard, widely used estimation methods in strength training; this site doesn't treat one as more correct than the other, and the calculator page explains where and why they disagree.

The Running Pace Calculator solves pace, time and distance from each other using plain arithmetic, then derives training paces as percentage ranges of the calculated pace. That percentage split is a simplified rule-of-thumb, not drawn from a single named training system — the exact percentages used are stated on the calculator page itself.

There are no accounts, and nothing you type into a calculator is tracked or sent anywhere — those numbers stay in your browser and are gone on refresh. The site does carry Google’s advertising script, which has its own cookies and measurement; the privacy page sets out what that means and how to opt out of personalized ads.
